Waste Treatment

Wastewater varies widely in character and concentration.   Although many established wastewater treatment options exist, proper selection depends on a clear understanding of the processes being carried out and the type of effluence produced.  Selection and design of the best alternative can then be carried out in full knowledge of the treatment challenges and the most economical solution obtained.

It is often prudent to undertake a review of the sources of wastewater with the aim of reducing volume.  Such pollution prevention initiatives are often more economical than “end of the pipe” treatment.

Fundy Engineering can assist the client in taking a systematic approach to evaluating the nature and quantity of its waste and selecting the treatment methodology most suited to their needs.  As well, Fundy Engineering has a varied background in addressing wastewater concerns and can carry out a pollution prevention review of the facility with the aim of reducing the volume of waste to be treated.
