Fundy Engineering has completed hundreds of geotechnical site investigations for various clients, including all levels of government, commercial and industrial operations and private homeowners.
In general, the purpose of a site investigation is to determine the suitability of the soil for construction. A site investigation is usually the first step to any construction project. This generally includes a test pit or borehole investigation, depending on the site conditions. Upon completion of the site investigation, the client will receive a report including documentation of the soil profile, a CAD drawing of the test locations and the geotechnical recommendations for construction.
