Fundy Engineering has completed over 400 Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). A Phase II ESA is an investigation where environmental concerns identified during a Phase I ESA are either confirmed or denied through an intrusive investigation and/or analytical sampling. Fundy Engineering has expertise in performing Phase II ESAs for a wide range of site conditions and potential environmental concerns. We have expertise in completing subsurface investigations through test pit and drilling methods. We also have extensive knowledge in the collection and interpretation of soil and groundwater samples for analysis of organic and inorganic constituents. We also have experience in sample collection and interpretation of building materials for identifying the presence of hazardous materials including lead, urea-formaldehyde foam insulation (UFFI), asbestos, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Fundy Engineering has also completed extensive intrusive investigations to delineate impacts and interpret the fate, and transport of contaminant plumes in the soil and groundwater.
