The Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA) stipulates that any project that involves the federal government of Canada must be subject to an environmental impact assessment. Federal involvement can be in the form of financial commitment, regulatory responsibility or as a direct participant in the project. The aim of a CEAA study is to review the nature of the project, study and describe the surrounding environment, scope the range of possible impact and define required mitigation measures. CEAA studies are also required for projects being undertaken by private groups or companies. Fundy Engineering has extensive experience in completing these assessments in a timely and cost-effective manner. |
